We serve our seniors by providing quality housing and long-term health care services in the forms of skilled nursing care, physical therapy and rehabilitation therapies in our benevolent and cheerful environment. The 89-bed nursing facility is licensed by the Iowa State Department of Health and certified by the Department of Human Services for the Medicaid Title XIX Program as well as Medicare in addition to our partnership with Millennium Therapy. The staff at St. Luke Lutheran Nursing Home realizes that providing for day-to-day needs is just one aspect of care. Delivering a personal touch to our seniors through companionship, personal growth, and comfort are amongst our top priorities in order to maximize the potential of each individual we serve. The warm, home-like environment created by St. Luke allows seniors to flourish and enjoy life with daily activities designed to meet physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs.

The St. Luke Nursing Department delivers 24-hour quality health care, using a team approach made up of professional nurses and certified nursing assistants.  The nursing team works together to meet the individual needs of each resident in our home-like atmosphere. We remain current and in compliance with state, federal, and medical regulations. Quality assurance practices, knowledge of senior care, and ongoing training for staff are all part of St. Luke's commitment to quality.

The 89-bed ranch-style complex providing 99 percent private rooms is located on the campus of St. Luke Homes & Services, Inc. It is situated atop a hill offering one of the best viewpoints of Spencer, Iowa. Residents are certain to adore the scenery, especially the Little Sioux River and bountiful surrounding farmland. Located on the Southeast edge of Spencer, St. Luke Lutheran Nursing Home is easily accessible from U.S. Highway 18 at the intersection of St. Luke Drive.
